OUR PROCESS
1.Purchase Of Raw Materials
We have various high-end quality sources for raw materials called mixed rags, shoes, belts, purses, accessories. These buying sources have been obtained from our long and good relationships with our suppliers such as charities.
2.Sorting
We receive truckloads of used clothing daily from Canada and the USA. Once unloaded, the clothing is distributed to our sorting stations where our staff separates the items into individual categories such as pants, shirts, dresses, shorts, jackets, children’s clothes, etc. Once separated, these items are moved to our grading stations.
3.Grading
Each grading station is responsible for determining the quality of each item and making sure each piece of clothing matches our customer’s quality requirements. In addition, items are further sorted into specific categories. For example, T- shirts can be separated into men’s or women’s, long sleeve or short sleeve; collar or round neck; knit or woven. The final product in our example could be a men’s short sleeve cotton round neck T- shirt.
4.Quality Check
Once a grader has collected enough men’s short sleeve, cotton round neck tee shirts, to make a bale; the quality supervisor re-checks each piece to make sure it meets or exceeds our customer’s requirements. The supervisor then issues a label for that bale which is sent to the baling machine to make it into a compressed bale.
5.Packaging
The graded and scaled items are now compressed into a bale by a machine, which wraps in a clear plastic sheet with steel strapping to ensure it reaches the customer’s destination clean and undamaged. At this stage the bale is also labeled according to our customer’s specifications for easy identification and customs clearance. We package our finished products in 100lb (45kg) bales, 121lb (55kg) or 1000lb (450kg) bales as per our customers’ needs.
The sorting, grading and quality check process is basically the same for all the items such as shoes, belts, purses & handbags, accessories, etc.
